The Cottage Daycare Rules and Regulations

Kingwood Athletic Club would like to welcome you and your child to the Cottage. Children are people with special need and interests. We, the nursery staff, will approach all activities with praise and a positive attitude toward your children as they learn the value of taking responsibility for their own choices. Each attendant cares about your child.

Your awareness of the following rules and regulations will enhance your child’s experience at the Cottage.

1. We welcome children 2 months through 11 years of age.

2. No food, gum, snacks or drinks are allowed at the Cottage.

3. Please do not bring any toys/games/dolls with you to the Cottage.

4. Please do not bring your child if he/she exhibits any of the following symptoms:
• Fever in the last 24 hour period
• Thick nasal or eye discharge
• Constant cough
• Unusual rash
• Diarrhea or upset stomach
• Excessive crankiness
• If necessary, a child may be sent home.

5. Please bring what is necessary for your infant and/or toddler. No scheduled feedings will be done by the nursery staff.
• Disposable diapers and wipes
• Pacifier and or juice bottle
• Change of clothes
• Security item if necessary
• For babies – toy, blanket
• LABEL any and all things you bring

6. For safety, we suggest play clothes and tennis shoes. No flip flops.

7. The parent of any child left at the Cottage must be at KAC at all times. When you come into the cottage we ask that you please sign in at the desk leaving the child’s name, your first and last name and the area of the club you will be using. If you are going to be outdoors for any reason, it is very important that we know where to locate you.

8. We ask that you let staff know your method of payment for your child daily upon picking him/her up. For those paying hourly charges begin upon arrival and end upon departure.

9. There is a maximum time limit of 2 hours for any child left at the Cottage.

10. Please bring any special needs or health problems to the attention of the Cottage staff.

11. NO child may enter or leave the Cottage without being accompanied by an adult.

12. We will only release your child to the parent that brought them in unless previous arrangements have been made with our Cottage staff.

13. We reserve the right to change, limit or set any policies that make the Cottage a safe and happy environment for children.
