Automated External Defibrillator Course (AED)
The purpose of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) course is to give individuals in the workplace the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for victims of cardiac arrest. Must bring current CPR card to class.

Babysitting
Definition of a “good babysitter” by the ARC: “one who successfully combines the knowledge and skills associated with leadership, safety and safe play, basic care, first aid and professionalism.”
Young adults ages 11 years and older will learn American Red Cross information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children.

Basic Water Rescue
Participants will learn how to safely perform basic water rescues in various water-related situations as a first responder.

CPR for the Professional Rescuer
This class teaches those with a duty to respond the skills needed to respond to respiratory and cardiac emergencies. Certification good for one year. Bring current LG CPR/FPR certification card, CPR mask and manual.

CPR in the Workplace
American Red Cross procedures for rescue breathing, clearing an obstructed airway and performing CPR for adults, children and infants will be taught. This class is critical for anyone who may potentially be the first responder until professional help arrives.
Full Course: ARC have updated the standards for this course, therefore all individuals with CPR certifications prior to July 2007 MUST take the full course.

First Aid Basics
The purpose of the American Red Cross First Aid course is to give individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic first aid care for injuries and sudden illness until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. This course does not include information on breathing or cardiac emergencies.
